Discussion Boards in Wikis

So...this is a new tool recently added to Wetpaint Wikis. I have to admit, I'm excited about it because it becomes another opportunity for faculty to use a discussion board environment outside of a learning management system. I also like that this now allows for two types of communication within one site. So can Wetpaint wikis replace a learning management system?
